The Windstone Stories Campaign

We are so excited to announce The Windstone Stories Campaign. For over 10 years, Windstone Farm has been a place where a community that loves theology, ecology, and the arts has gathered for meaningful experiences. Those who have experienced a Linlathen conference, an evening book reading, walked the trails or dropped in for a friendly conversation, know that Windstone is a special place of Christian hospitality. We’ve reached the next chapter in the story of Windstone Farm with the establishment of the Windstone Farm Linlathen Society (WFLS).
We plan to hire a full-time director of operations to work alongside WFLS Founder, Dr. Kirstin Jeffrey Johnson, in running the farm and the programs related to ecology, theology, and the arts. In order to do so, we have set a base goal of raising $80,000 over the next couple of months. To kick-start the campaign we have received a matching grant of $25,000 from a donor who wants to encourage you to consider how you too might support WFLS.
All financial contributions will receive a charitable donation receipt through our partnership with One Way Ministries. Donations can be received online by clicking on the donate button. We especially encourage you to consider becoming a monthly donor of WFLS as it helps us establish and sustain a base of donors who will support the ongoing work of WFLS. If you have questions or wish to speak with a board member about your giving or further involvement with WFLS, we’d love to hear from you. Just reach out via email to wflsocietyboard@gmail.com
Please take a moment to watch our intro video and the campaign videos and check out some of our testimonials that tell the story of Windstone Farm and its unique contribution to the Christian community as it hosts people from all over the world in the context of the Ottawa Valley.

Testimonials
Listen to and read the words of Linlathen guests and affiliates, as they share what Windstone and its mission has meant to them.
“Windstone is not just a place of exquisite beauty and hospitality. It is an utterly necessary place in Canada in our moment of ecocatastrophe. As you watch Kirstin Jeffrey Johnson glide over the landscape like Lady Galadriel, enchanting you with stories about George MacDonald and loggerhead shrikes, you will suddenly realize you’d give anything to protect God’s creation. Which is precisely the point.”
 - Rev. Jason Byassee, Ph.D. - Senior Minister, Timothy Eaton Memorial Church, Toronto ON
“The work of Windstone Farm draws together three different expressions of beauty that have been profoundly important for Christians: the beauty of creation; the beauty of the arts; and the beauty of Christian community and hospitality. We desperately need more of each of these beauties – both in the church and in the wider culture. What is even rarer is to find these three embodied simultaneously, the way they are at Windstone. It is a uniquely wonderful place, and one that has been a great gift to me and to my family.”
